In Selahuddin Eyyubi Episode 24, Salahuddin nearly captures Bernard, but his sister Elisa intervenes, allowing him to escape. Salahuddin reveals that Bernard staged the first attack disguised as soldiers from another kingdom to incite conflict. Salahuddin spares a soldier who confesses to not killing Altamas and offers a thousand gold coins for the head of his true enemy. Sultan Nur-ud-Din visits the palace and consults Umar Mulla Afandi about punishing Malik Mevdud. Mevdud is brought for punishment, but Sultan Nur-ud-Din forgives him and gives him another chance. Bernard forms an alliance with a Fatimid Caliphate leader to strengthen his power in Gaza. Sultan Nur-ud-Din prepares for war, uniting the Abbasid Caliphate chiefs with the help of Umar Mullah Afandi and Abdul Qadir Jilani. They attack Gaza, but Salahuddin breaks into the city, trapping Bernard and waiting for reinforcements from the Fatimids. Abdul Qadir Jilani intercepts the Fatimid forces, allowing Salahuddin and Sultan Nur-ud-Din to conquer Gaza. Episode 24 ends with their victory.
